“Thank you for all you do.  Go forth and conquer!” Daniel Pink

For 40 years, my goal has been to empower young people to have a positive impact on the challenges they face. What if we asked them to do only important work? My passion for collaborative innovation, project-based learning, and arts integration has taken me to rural and urban classrooms. I co-founded a Waldorf-inspired parent cooperative named Hearthstone which is still going after 32 years.  I have facilitated learning with universities,  government agencies and businesses.  In coaching teachers and administrators in public and private schools, I focus on developing meaningful projects to heal community heartbreak (academic mastery always follows), violence prevention and peace-building through art.  I model creative collaboration through the Singing Tree Mural Project  an often youth-led process, inspired by trees, where communities make a shared vision of success. 88 murals have been made by 20,000 people from 52 countries so far.

We have the tools to make life-long learning the core of our schools and society.  The only limit is our imagination and courage.

Together we can beat the odds we’re up against.

I am grateful we have found each other.
